Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 23 May 2026

Our Commitment

AltScape Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.

This statement applies to the AltScape web application, mobile applications (iOS and Android), and all associated services.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. AltScape aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

We are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address these gaps.

Accessibility Features

  • Screen Reader Support

All interactive elements have descriptive labels and ARIA roles. Mobile apps support TalkBack (Android) and VoiceOver (iOS).

  • Keyboard Navigation

Web app is fully navigable via keyboard with visible focus indicators. Tab order follows logical reading sequence.

  • Color Contrast

Text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). UI components have sufficient contrast against backgrounds.

  • Reduced Motion

Animations respect prefers-reduced-motion settings. Users can disable motion effects in Settings → Appearance.

  • Text Resizing

Interface scales with system font size preferences. Senior/Bridge mode applies a 1.15× readability multiplier with 14px minimum clamp.

  • Voice Control

Mobile apps support system voice control and dictation for text input fields.

  • Captions & Transcripts

Video content supports captions where provided. Spatial drop voice notes display sender context and duration.

  • High Contrast Mode

Dark mode is available system-wide. High-contrast themes are on our roadmap for Q3 2026.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some limitations exist:

  • 3D Spatial Scenes

WebGL-based spatial rooms may present challenges for screen reader users. We provide text-based room state descriptions as a fallback.

  • User-Generated Content

Images, videos, and spatial marks uploaded by users may lack alt text. We encourage users to add descriptions and provide moderation tools.

  • Third-Party Integrations

Content imported from YouTube, Vimeo, or other platforms is subject to the accessibility standards of those providers.

  • Legacy Creator Dashboard

The developer portal contains advanced tools that are being progressively updated for full accessibility compliance.

Assistive Technology Testing

We test our applications with the following assistive technologies:

  • NVDA + Firefox (Windows)
  • JAWS + Chrome (Windows)
  • VoiceOver + Safari (macOS, iOS)
  • TalkBack + Chrome (Android)
  • axe-core automated scans in CI

You can customize your accessibility experience in the app:

  • Mobile: Settings → Accessibility (senior scale, reduced motion, spatial audio preferences)
